The Koffeebean

This day was all about staying at home. I did, knowing that it'd be dull and timewasting. Orginally, Nguyen and I were to go to the Tully library today, but she preferred to stay home. My cousin Elena came later in the day and I joined her for dinner. Pho Y was okay, and the place was crowded this time. I'll mention that Elena got her skateboard within one day of asking for one. I was back home and life was so boring. Then, like on of those stupid chain letter posts, some stranger IMed me. Half past eleven in the night, and tells me that he liked me. This sounds so surreal, but it didn;'t seem like he was lieing. At least, up until the point his screenname is up again and this time it's answered by someone totally different. And I'm yet to find out if this is true at all.

I have never known that going to the mall with a bunch of guys could be so much fun. I was happy to be hanging out with Louie, in person! This is how the day started: I invited Dang to Oakridge, Nguyen with Sunny comes over his house and Dang's mother picks me up for the mall trip. We all arrive there in the food court and what else? We eat Sasakados. I ate Dang's food and I wander around the block until I bump into Louie. We walked around the mall and I spent too much money this time in Oakridge. I saw the photobooth and even though I've known from past experiences that it takes crappy pictures, I proceed to get in there. They turned out as always, poor quality. I kept them though, for the memories of us squishing in the booth. Another round around Oakridge and we went inside the Apple store. Inside we played with the IPhones until the computers were open. We saw the computers capable of taking photos, and of much better quality then the camera in the photobooth. We played around and managed to email ourselves the pictures. All of us were out and got some more snacks. The group went inside Borders, then out since was bored of the manga section. We retuned to the Apple store for the computers and this time, there were more people inside the store. Nguyen, Dang and Sunny happened to get scolded at for fooling around with the computers. We left a bit after that incidence. Louie was to go home first so we tried to escort him to his cousin, but on the side, Dang's mother was already on her way to drive us home. Departure time came, Nguyen was the first to make it home. I was scared that I'd get home late when Dang's car pulled up in his garage, but it only took a few minutes before I was able to be dropped off at my house. This time on the trip, Nguyen and I were thinking of Gayle and how it'd be nicer having her along. She's expected to be back in four days.

The weather yesterday was out of ordinary and it was as if it was a sign of change. I've been given many chances to exercise this week, but I haven't been doing my share. Despite being at home more often now,  I think I'm actually elated to discover what I can get done. I was out with Elena and her mother. I saw my other aunt there and the relatives conversed while I tried to get rid of my boredom. I bought a few accessories I thought might be neccesary for my karate clas, but arrived home at the wrong moment. My dad bailed on me and said he was too tired to take me to class. My aunt took me instead, and I was late. I wouldn't mind this being part of my weekly regimen, but it seems like  I'll have transportation problems as usual. However, it just comes with that obstacle that I have strong motive to continue going. I'm learning useful information watching Yakitate and pretty soon, I'll start reciting the theme songs for that show. I'm having fun for some reason and I'm glad to find out that my friend is coming back earlier than planned. It's gonna be so much fun when she arrives home.

Nguyen was over today and it was a brilliant day. The purpose of the visit was to upload clips of Megan's singing, but it wasn't possible. We chilled for most of the day and ate our share of junk food. The day started off in the duldrums, but we hitted it off when we watched our anime classics. I got back into watching my "bread anime". Then we walked to Dang's home and there was the other boys (Duc, John and Sunny). Then we added Danny as one of our companions. I think Nguyen enjoyed this part the most, but I went home much earlier than she did. I'm back to watching the Yakitate episodes and I'm very happy doing so. I think I'm also having a nice week talking to my friends.

Okay, this is sad! Something is going on. My entries keep getting deleted somehow. I think I'll have to rewrite them again; I hope my memories are better this time around.

Today is the last day of summer school. I brought 2 packs of cookies and an ice cream cake. We had two tests and a treat of watching videos for the rest of the day. Everyone brought something to eat and I was full by lunchtime. I think I'll miss everyone in summer school. The only thing is that everyone looked so sad after leaving the classroom.

We went to the library to prepare for our finals tomorrow. I think I'll do fine except that I need to use pen. I hate that fact, but I'll live. My grade isn't going to be as good as  I want, but there isn't much more I can do now. My video project doesn't play on Mr. Mach's ibook and that saddens me. I think John noticed because he said  I didn't talk for an hour straight. I've been working hard and studying, but I just can't find the time like some other people. I'm going to need to plan what to do for the rest of this summer vacation. I seriously dislike staying at home. For the first time,  I feel dumb in school. I should take extra classes, but I hate doing it alone. I'll manage! This class was definately a challenge. Nguyen was out for the day and when she arrived to class, I immediatly ran to her and glomped her. That means a huge hug! It also resulted in her losing her balance and falling to the ground. Oops. The funny thing is I've heard that Sunny and Dang are taking football after school.

This week is crammed with tests! I'm so going to cry. I really wanted this week to be about going out, but everyone's focusing on teir test scores. There is no way I want to be spending all this time for schoolwork. I'm getting everything, but I have a hard time with organic chemistry. I think the o-chem is fun, but very hard. I'm trying my best to review what I have learned. Nguyen's going through this class like a breeze. Our video project is done with its editing stage. It looks good and I saw a couple of people's projects. Ours isn't funny as theirs, but I enjoyed it. I need to add Chris's scene in and it'll be fine. It's alot of work and I don't feel it's fair  I'm using the majority of my time for it. I do care about other people's grades though. Today we had our debates and I attacked the evidence in our case and fought against a death penalty sentence. I am good, and our team won. That is my only hope for a B in this class. My tests are bad so I can't relax.

We were at the library today. Nguyen came over my house around nine and we uploaded our video clips. With little trouble, we got the footage in and it worked. At noon we walked to the library and there were two out of our three TAs. For a while it was just the four of us until Christine T. came into the room. I was glad not to be the only one goofing around. Vu was being chased around the room by Christine. All she wanted as a hug, but Vu ran like the wind. I showed Hoai the doughnut shop Linda works in and we've got a great deal for a dozen doughnuts. Hoai totally loaded up on his chocolates, but even he wasn't able to eat them all. It was fun and we stayed there for four hours.  I felt a bad letting Nguyen learn all these material for Organic Chemistry. I learnt nothing about of this ordeal and it's sad. Nguyen fell asleep for a while, but that's fine I got to work on the Hemophilia video. We later, saw a couple of classmates held at the fair at Maria Gorretti. We ate and foodstands and I got my carmel apple. We back walked to my house and Nguyen was driven home. In overall, it is such a happy day. Nguyen was the center of the compliments today. This day was cool.

We've been out today and wow! It starts off with me and Nguyen coming to Gayle's house. Gayle was prepped up for her dance performance today and she looked good.Pinky is still staying at Gayle's house and I think today we bonded. I loved lunch. At Yoshinoyas, the vegetables are cooked just the way I liked them. I ate the most out of the three. I would come back here again. It's seriously across the street from De Anza college. Gayle practied her dane routine with the other dancers while the rest of us went off in the Vallejo Mall, which is loaded with sales since it's in renuevation. It was fine, I bought things for myself from Claires and  we waited at Macy's until Gayle was out of rehersals. Then we drove to Valley Fair. Now this is where things got interesting. In Sunglassses Hut, we got free candy and Capri Sun. Pinky found the world of LUSH products. It's that grocery themed store where everything looks like it's edible counterparts. The girls were most amazed by the mushyness of some of the items there. I can't say Pinky wasn't supirsed when she felt those shower Jellies. Afterwards, things mellowed down and we crossed to Teavana and sipped the samples cups. Then we stepped into See's Candy to get free chocolates. One quickstop, we played inside MAC cosmetics. I felt normal walking in, and it felt right to be in there playing with the powders. It's come of age that we are able to step into those shops. Now today was awesome, we had a light supper and we came to the idea of going to the infamous Macy's beauty section. On the way, we spotted Nicole. That was predicted by Gayle. We did get to Macy's and there was this point where Gayle would've been made over, but it was time for her show. The show was brilliant. I enjoyed myself very much. It now inspires me to find the music from the pieces performed. I most remember the end where people of all ages dance to a classicf unk song. Afterwards, it was dinner in Pizza Hut. Pinky noticed Naruto playing on the TVscreen. I went home around 10ish and I savor today.
